Quick answer
If you’re a registered COP31 participant staying at a hotel on the official accommodation platform, start with the free official shuttles. For everything they don’t cover (a hotel off the list, a late landing, meetings elsewhere, a travelling companion), your realistic options are the airport taxi rank, the AntRay tram, the organisers’ official private transport partner, or a pre-arranged private transfer. Shuttle timetables and venue drop-off rules had not been published when we checked on 27 September 2026.
COP31 runs from 9 to 20 November 2026, with the World Leaders’ Summit on 11–12 November. This guide compares every way of getting between Antalya Airport, your hotel and the conference venue, so you can decide which journeys need planning and which don’t. We run an independent local transfer service ourselves, so we’ll be upfront about when you don’t need one.

Where You’re Going: The Venue
UNFCCC gives the venue as Antalya EXPO Center, Solak, Alanya Yolu, Serik Caddesi, Aksu, Antalya. That’s the former EXPO 2016 grounds on the Antalya–Alanya road, east of the airport, not in the city centre. The official COP31 transportation page puts Antalya Airport roughly 20–30 minutes from the venue. The site has a Blue Zone (the UN-managed negotiation area) and a Green Zone (open to a wider public), with separate entrances.
A name to watch: Antalya also has an older exhibition centre near the airport that uses the “Expo” name. If you type “Antalya Expo” into a map app, check you’ve landed on the right place. Give drivers the official address, or better, use the official COP31 transport map.
Official COP31 Shuttles
The organisers are running complimentary shuttles during the conference. The official transportation page lists three planned route types:
- Official hotels ↔ COP31 venue
- Antalya Airport ↔ COP31 venue
- Antalya city centre ↔ COP31 venue
Two things matter before you rely on them. First, the UNFCCC information for participants says hotel shuttle stops will be available only at hotels listed on the official COP31 accommodation platform. If you booked elsewhere, don’t assume a stop at your door. Second, shuttle schedules and route maps “will be published closer to the conference dates”. Until they are, nobody (including us) can tell you the first or last departure.
Who the shuttle suits best: accredited participants staying at an official-platform hotel whose day is hotel, venue, hotel. If that’s you, it’s free and designed for exactly your journey, so use it.
The Official Private Transport and Car Rental Partners
The organisers name BoB as the official private transport partner, offering airport and city transfers and chauffeur services at preferential rates for participants, and Bagacar as the official car rental partner. Contact details are on the official transportation page. They’re worth comparing, especially if your organisation prefers to book through the organisers’ named partners.
Airport Taxis
Yellow taxis wait at the official ranks outside the arrival exits, and the official page also points to taxi ranks around the city. Taxis in Antalya are metered: check the fare board at the airport rank, make sure the meter is running before you set off, and politely decline any flat cash price offered in the arrivals hall. Tariffs rose in March 2026, so ignore older fare figures you find online. Our Antalya taxi guide covers how to sanity-check a fare.
During a conference with tens of thousands of arrivals, the realistic risk isn’t price, it’s the queue at peak landing times. If you’re arriving with colleagues and several cases, a pre-arranged car removes that uncertainty.
The AntRay Tram and Public Transport
The official page lists the AntRay light rail and public transport as options. The tram line that serves the airport was extended east towards Aksu for EXPO 2016, so it’s worth checking on the official transport map which stop is nearest the entrance you’ll use and how long the walk is. Standard fares are 42 TL with an AntalyaKart or 50 TL with a contactless bank card (AntalyaKart published fares, checked 14 September 2026); cash isn’t accepted on board. Timetables change by season, so check the last departure for your date.
The tram is a good fit for a solo delegate with a small bag in daylight. It’s a poor fit for a team with suitcases or anyone landing late. See how to pay for public transport in Antalya.
Ride-Hailing Apps
The official page mentions ride-sharing platforms. In our experience, app-based ride-hailing in Antalya is less dependable than in big European cities, so treat it as a backup rather than your only plan, especially late at night.
When a Private Transfer Is Worth It
A private transfer isn’t the default answer for COP31, and for many participants the free shuttle will do. It earns its cost in specific situations:
- Your hotel isn’t on the official platform, so the shuttle won’t stop there.
- You land or leave at an awkward hour outside published shuttle times.
- You’re a small team with luggage or equipment and want one vehicle, one pickup.
- Your day has several stops: side meetings, a dinner across town, a hotel change.
- A companion isn’t accredited and needs to get around while you’re at the venue.
- You want to see something on your free day, such as Perge, Aspendos and Side on the 15 November rest day, without fitting around a coach tour.
One honest limit: private vehicles won’t necessarily be allowed up to the venue entrance. Access and drop-off rules are set by the organisers and security authorities and hadn’t been published when we checked. Any operator promising door-to-door venue drop-off today is guessing.
If you need one, our COP31 airport transfers & private transport page explains how quotes work, and you can request one on WhatsApp.

Timing Around the Leaders’ Summit
The World Leaders’ Summit is scheduled for 11–12 November. No official road-closure or traffic plan had been published when we checked on 27 September 2026. If your arrival or a key meeting falls on those days, check the current transport and traffic announcements from the organisers and local authorities, and keep a backup way to reach your hotel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free shuttle from Antalya Airport to the COP31 venue?
The official transportation page lists an airport ↔ venue shuttle route among the planned services. Schedules and exact stops will be published closer to the conference, so check the official page before you fly.
Will the shuttle stop at my hotel?
According to UNFCCC, hotel shuttle stops will only be at hotels listed on the official COP31 accommodation platform. If your hotel isn’t on it, plan how you’ll reach the nearest stop or the venue.
How far is the COP31 venue from Antalya Airport?
The official transportation page puts it at roughly 20–30 minutes by road. Check current traffic announcements before travelling on busy conference days.
Can I take the tram to the venue?
The AntRay light rail is listed as an option. Check the official transport map for the nearest stop to the entrance you’ll use and the current timetable for your dates.
Can I book a private transfer or car with driver for COP31?
Yes. We arrange airport transfers, hotel-to-venue runs, team transport, cars with driver by the day and rest-day tours, operated with our TÜRSAB-licensed partner Sun Global Turizm (licence no. 11308). Send your dates, route and passenger numbers on WhatsApp for a fixed written quote.
Can a taxi or private car drop me at the entrance?
Vehicle access and drop-off points around the venue are decided by the organisers and security authorities. They weren’t published at the time of writing, so don’t rely on door-to-door access yet.
📝 A Local’s Note
November evenings in Antalya are mild but dark early, with sunset around 17:45 during the conference. If you’re walking between a tram stop and your hotel after a long day, check the route on a map in daylight first and ask your hotel whether it’s a comfortable walk.
Save your hotel’s name and address in Turkish as well as English, exactly as it appears on the booking. Drivers and taxi dispatchers work from the Turkish name, and several resort brands have sister hotels with nearly identical names in different areas.
