The AntalyaKart is a reloadable contactless card used on all of Antalya’s public transport: city buses, the Antalyaray tram, and the Nostaljik Tramvay (historic tram). You tap it on the reader when boarding, and the fare is automatically deducted. It is the single key to getting around the city cheaply.

Important: cash is not accepted on Antalya’s buses or trams. You need an AntalyaKart or a contactless bank card.
Disposable tickets (Kullan-At): sold as two-journey (112 TL) or five-journey (250 TL) tickets. The price is a 20 TL ticket fee plus 46 TL per journey, so 46 TL is the per-journey rate, not the price of the ticket. Disposable tickets can’t be topped up and get no discounts or free transfers.
Free transfers: with an AntalyaKart, a transfer between buses is free if you board the next vehicle between 5 minutes and 1 hour after the first; between different tram lines the window is 5 minutes to 2 hours. Some combinations are excluded, including lines with the same route sign, a line and its ‘A’ variant (for example VL13 and VL13A), terminal lines, M-plate vehicles and lines DC27, 500, 501, 514, 515 and 515A. Contactless bank cards and disposable tickets get no free transfers.

Where to Buy an AntalyaKart
You can pick up an AntalyaKart at several locations around the city. The plastic card costs 100 TL as a one-time card fee, and can be bought at AntalyaKart kiosks at major bus stops and tram stations, at authorised vendors (bayiler) near transport hubs, and at the airport tram station on arrival. A mobile version is also available via the AntalyaKart app for Android phones (note: iOS NFC is not supported).
How to Top Up Your AntalyaKart
Topping up is straightforward. You can add credit at the self-service machines at tram stations and major bus stops, at AntalyaKart sales points and authorised vendors across the city, and via the AntalyaKart mobile app on Android. Most machines have an English language option, so you will not be stuck.

Can I Pay by Contactless Bank Card?
Yes. Antalya’s public transport now accepts contactless bank cards directly on the reader. The fare for a single journey paid by card is 50 TL, slightly higher than the AntalyaKart standard fare of 42 TL. Bank card journeys get no free transfers and no discounts, so if you’ll change vehicles or travel several times a day, an AntalyaKart is better value.
What About Taxis and Ride Apps?
If public transport does not suit your plans, taxis are widely available across Antalya. All official taxis use meters and are generally affordable by European standards. BiTaksi is the most popular ride-hailing app in Turkey and works well in Antalya. Do I Really Need Public Transport in Antalya?
