Quick answer
Most hotels in Antalya will hold your bags after checkout for free, so ask reception first. If you are moving around, luggage storage apps list drop-off points in Kaleiçi and other central areas from about €3.50–€4 per bag per day, but check each point’s closing time against your flight. We could not confirm a public left-luggage office at Antalya Airport, so don’t plan on one. Aim to reach the airport about three hours before an international departure.
Checkout at noon and a flight at 22:00 is a very common Antalya combination, especially with charter flights. That gap can be a lost day spent in a hotel lobby, or a relaxed last afternoon. It comes down to three decisions: where your bags go, what you do with the time, and when you leave for the airport.
Option 1: Ask Your Hotel
This is the simplest answer and usually free. Before your last day, ask reception:
- Can we leave our bags after checkout, and until what time? Most hotels have a luggage room; boutique hotels in Kaleiçi may simply keep bags behind the desk.
- Is late checkout available, and at what price? Many hotels offer it subject to occupancy, often for a fee.
- Is there a shower or hospitality room for departing guests? Larger resorts sometimes have one.
- At an all-inclusive: what happens to our wristband? Some resorts stop all-inclusive service at checkout, others let you stay until a set time or sell an extension. Ask rather than find out at the bar.
Option 2: Luggage Storage in the City
If you are staying outside the centre and want to spend the day in Kaleiçi, or you have left an apartment with no reception, luggage storage platforms such as Bounce and Radical Storage list partner shops and hotels that keep bags for a daily fee. When we checked in September 2026:
- Prices were listed from about €3.50–€3.90 per bag per day, booked through the app or website.
- Drop-off points were concentrated in and around Kaleiçi: near Hadrian’s Gate, the Yivli Minare, the old harbour and Karaalioğlu Park, with a few in Konyaaltı and other districts.
- Opening hours vary by location. Some Kaleiçi points listed closing times between 19:30 and 21:00. If your flight is late, choose a point that is open long enough for you to collect your bags and still reach the airport on time.
These are third-party platforms, not us: read the cancellation terms and the bag-protection conditions before you book.
Option 3: Go to the Airport Early
We couldn’t confirm a public left-luggage office at Antalya Airport, and check-in desks generally open only a few hours before departure, so arriving six hours early usually means waiting landside with your bags. If you do want to wait at the airport, the Primeclass lounge in Terminal 1 (international) accepts Priority Pass and paid entry, and the domestic terminal has its own Primeclass lounge. Check which terminal your flight uses first: Antalya has Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and a domestic terminal.
How to Use the Last Afternoon
Pick something that doesn’t leave you sandy, sunburnt or far from the airport road:
- A hamam. You leave clean and relaxed, which is exactly what you want before a night flight. See our hamam guide.
- Kaleiçi and the old harbour for a slow walk and an early dinner. The Kaleiçi walking guide has a route.
- Lower Düden Waterfalls in Lara, which is on the airport side of the city. See the Düden Waterfalls guide.
- A mall afternoon in air conditioning, with food courts and last-minute shopping. Our rainy-day guide lists the big ones.
Another option is a private car that collects you and your luggage from the hotel, stops for a few hours of sightseeing with your bags in the vehicle, then drops you at the terminal. That removes the storage question entirely. Ask us on WhatsApp whether this can be arranged for your date and route.
When to Leave for the Airport
Aim to be at Antalya Airport about three hours before an international departure, and more on summer Saturdays and Sundays, when charter traffic peaks. Approximate road times outside rush hour:
| From | To the airport |
|---|---|
| Lara | 15–25 minutes |
| City centre / Kaleiçi | 25–40 minutes |
| Konyaaltı | 30–45 minutes |
| Belek | 30–40 minutes |
| Kemer / Side | About 1 hour |
| Alanya | About 2 hours |

📝 A Local’s Note
Pack your hand luggage for the flight before you check out: passport, chargers, medicines and a change of clothes. Once your suitcase is locked away in a storage room, getting back into it is a nuisance.
If you plan a swim on the last day, ask the hotel about a shower before you hand back the key, not after.
