Gazipaşa Airport to Alanya Transfer: All Options Compared

If you found a flight into Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP), congratulations, you have already won half the battle. Most travellers heading to Alanya land at the big Antalya Airport and face a 125 km, 2 hour transfer. Gazipaşa is Alanya’s small local airport, only about 40 to 45 km from the centre, which means you can be at your hotel within an hour of landing. As a local, I always tell people the same thing: if a GZP flight exists for your dates, take it. Here is how to cover that final stretch.

The airport sits southeast of Alanya along the D400 coastal road. Distances depend on where exactly you are staying:

Alanya centre: around 40 to 45 km, roughly 40 to 50 minutes.
Mahmutlar and Kargıcak: closer, around 25 to 35 km, roughly 30 minutes.
Oba and Tosmur: around 40 km, roughly 40 minutes.
Konaklı, Avsallar, Türkler, Okurcalar: on the far side of Alanya, 55 to 75 km, roughly 1 to 1.5 hours.

Note the nice twist: Mahmutlar and Kargıcak hotels are actually closer to GZP than to Alanya centre, so if you are staying there, this airport is a gift.

GZP is a small airport with limited onsite services, which makes a pre-booked private transfer even more valuable than usual. Your driver waits at the arrival gate with your name, helps with luggage and takes you straight to your hotel, whether that is central Alanya or the resort strips further out. Flight delayed? They track it, no extra charge.

Pros: door to door, fixed price, no waiting around a small terminal.
Cons: costs more than the shuttle, though for 2 or more people the difference shrinks fast.

Shared shuttle services meet arriving flights and drop passengers at hotels around Alanya. Cheaper than a private car, more comfortable than figuring out public transport with suitcases. The trade-off is time: the van fills up and makes multiple hotel stops, so your 45 minute ride can stretch well past an hour if your hotel is a later stop. Book ahead rather than hoping to find one on the spot, GZP is not AYT, options at the kerb are limited.

Taxis wait outside arrivals after flights. For Alanya centre expect a fare somewhere around €40 to €60 depending on season and destination, more for the far resort areas like Okurcalar. Agree the price or insist on the meter before setting off. It works fine, but a pre-booked private transfer at a similar or better fixed price removes the negotiation entirely.

There is no direct public bus timed to flights from the terminal. The workaround is getting to the D400 road or Gazipaşa town and catching a westbound bus or dolmuş toward Alanya. It is cheap but slow and awkward with luggage, and after an evening arrival it is genuinely impractical. I only recommend this to solo backpackers landing midday with light bags.

Families and couples: private transfer, especially for Konaklı/Avsallar side stays.
Solo travellers on a budget: shared shuttle.
